Still around, seems like i get so wrapped up in life, i don't get around to posting- but Dragonmyst reminded me how special LJ is.... so... let see, i am still bird crazy, and its leaked into my art- i have focused in on pet portraits and bird art, but also have begun offering prints and notecards, so if anyone has special requests in regard to breeds, i can work with you so it won't break the bank....like notecard sets for Christmas gifts, with everyone hurting in this economy, i think of something my mom used to say- everyone deserves beauty in their life. So maybe i can help folks now and then... here are some of my more current pieces-



other than art, our little hobby farm has grown, to include 23 chickens, 4 ducks, a goose, 5 guineas(one is disabled, so he and his friend will have their own enclosure to keep them safe), meet scooter- the feed store knew i rehabbed birds so gave him to me, and i had to get him a buddy as they are social birds and need company- apparently his leg got caught in the cage wire and in his efforts to escape, he twisted his hip- by the time i got him it was too late to reset it, so the leg is actually sideways in the socket, but he is clueless that he is a special needs guinea!























and the house birds, J, the one winged bluejay, clare the once was paralyzed sparrow, 2 starlings, a cockatiel, 2 parakeets and 2 finches- so sleeping in is not an option around here....

For those of you who know my daughter Dragonmyst...the twins arrived this evening, she doesn't have computer access.... Zoey and Elizabeth are doing fine, all is normal... i'll let her fill you in when she gets home...!!

Summer is here- not my favorite season- i don't like HOT....but the wildlife antics make it tolerable...

ummmm ---- overgrown hummer? nahhhh..just a downy woodpecker baby learning what to eat- but he discovered this ain't too bad!

welll.... a truly challenging week.... monday, dental work- i have a huge phobia about dentist, so they whack me out to do anything- then my computer died, which is a serious work issue, since i freelance art, i have to have a graphic computer- ended up selling my other dead computer to a friend who found me a mac mini.... they are a trip.. for $300 i get a 19 inch monitor...look at this little computer...a full desktop in a small package of 6 x 6 x 2 inches

ok, then leave daughters- who is also sick and have a flat tire....sigh about 1 am this morning to add insult to injury, i get a stomach virus, also get the hiccups! i never get sick! so how do you handle eating as a diabetic when you can't keep anything down??? thundering gotta get off hubbies ancient laptop
